Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy encouraged Americans to book their holiday travel, but told them to expect delays. 'Air Traffic Controllers are not getting paid and they’ve all told me it’s really hard,' he said on X. 'It’s going to be rough heading into the holidays if we are still in the shutdown. There will be flight disruptions. @USDOT will mitigate the safety side. 'But, I would still be booking your flights. We are just going to have to work together to navigate this situation that the Democrats are putting the American people through.' Speaking on Fox News this morning, Duffy revealed he has purchased flights for his own children during the shutdown, but said he is unsure if they will fly on time.
