Everything you need to know about NHIAA tournaments this week

While field hockey rolls into the semifinals this week, the NHIAA released tournament brackets for boys and girls soccer, volleyball and Unified soccer on Monday. Let’s take a look at all the local teams competing in tournaments. First-round action begins on Tuesday with quarterfinals in soccer set for Friday and Saturday with the higher seeded team hosting. Volleyball gets started on Thursday, with the quarterfinals set for next week. Field hockey wraps up this week, with the state final on Saturday at Bedford High School. State finals for soccer and volleyball are slated for Nov. 7 and 8. Boys Soccer In Division I first-round action, No. 11 Keene High (7-7-2) heads to No. 6 Hanover (10-3-3), Wednesday, at 3 p.m. Hanover defeated Keene 3-0 on Sept. 23 in Hanover. The winner moves on to the quarterfinals on Saturday, against the winner of Bishop Guertin and Pinkerton. In Division II, No. 5 ConVal (8-4-4) received a bye into the quarterfinals, where it will travel to face No. 4 Kingswood (9-3-4) on Friday at 3 p.m. The two teams played a 0-0 draw on Oct. 6 in Wolfeboro. The Division II semifinals will be played Monday, Nov. 3, at Bill Ball Stadium in Exeter. In Division III first-round action, No. 10 Fall Mountain (8-4-4) will travel to No. 7 Berlin (9-4-3) on Wednesday at 3 p.m. The two teams did not meet in the regular season. The winner advances to the quarterfinals on Saturday, where they will face either No. 2 Kearsarge or No. 15 Winnisquam. In Division IV first-round action, No. 4 Hinsdale (12-3-1) will host No. 13 Colebrook (5-7-4) on Tuesday at 3 p.m. The two teams did not play in the regular season. With a win, the Pacers would also host a quarterfinal game on Friday, against either No. 5 Woodsville or No. 12 Lisbon. Girls Soccer In Division III first-round action, No. 9 Fall Mountain (8-5-3) will travel to No. 8 Trinity (9-4-3) on Tuesday at 3 p.m. The two teams did not play in the regular season. The winner heads to the quarterfinals on Friday, likely against top-seed Stevens. Also in Division III, No. 13 Conant (6-7-3) heads to No. 4 St. Thomas Aquinas (13-2-1) on Tuesday at 3 p.m. The teams split their season series, with STA winning 5-1 on Sept. 19 in Dover, and the Orioles winning 2-1 on Oct. 14 in Jaffrey. The winner will face either No. 5 Hopkinton or No. 12 Berlin on Friday. In Division II first-round action, No. 6 ConVal (12-4) will host No. 11 Winnisquam (8-8) on Thursday at 6 p.m. The two teams did not meet in the regular season. Also in Division II first-round action, No. 14 Fall Mountain (8-10) heads to No. 3 Somersworth (16-2) on Thursday at 6 p.m. The two teams did not meet in the regular season. The winners of those two games will face off in the quarterfinals on Saturday, at 6 p.m. Field Hockey No. 1 Keene High (15-1-1) plays No. 4 Winnacunnet (13-2-2) in the Division I semifinals on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Bill Ball Stadium in Exeter. The winner will play either No. 2 Bedford or No. 3 Londonderry in the D-I state final on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Bedford High School. Monadnock and Conant each qualified for the Division III state tournament, with both falling in the preliminary round. Unified Soccer Keene High finished the regular season 4-1 and earned the top seed in the state tournament with a bye into the semifinals. The Blackbirds will host the winner of Nashua North and Londonderry in the semifinals on Monday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m.
