Marc Guehi is a doubt for England's international double-header against Serbia and Albania after Oliver Glasner revealed the Crystal Palace captain is "struggling to walk" due to a foot injury. The England centre-half, 25, has established himself as a key figure for the national team after starring in the Three Lions' run to the Euro 2024 final and was among the names selected by Thomas Tuchel for this month's fixtures. However, an issue Guehi sustained in Palace's Europa Conference League fixture against Alkmaar could prevent him from featuring in England's final World Cup qualifiers. He was absent from Crystal Palace's team at the weekend with Glasner confirming that his star defender is currently unable to walk following an incident in the Eagles' most recent outing. "Marc was fouled in the last minute against Alkmaar. It was a knock on his foot. A bone bruise," Glasner revealed to Sky Sports shortly before Palace's clash with their bitter rivals, Brighton , on Sunday. "He can't even walk at the moment. The last two days he is on crutches. I don't know how this develops over the next couple of days. But at the moment it doesn't look good. It looks like he can't play for England as well." Guehi has impressed in an England shirt this season despite constant speculation over his future after a transfer to Liverpool collapsed in the final hours of the summer transfer window. He continues to be linked with a move to Anfield after it emerged that he will not consider signing an extension to his contract with Palace, which expires at the end of the 2025-26 campaign. Speaking after Guehi notched his first England goal in the 5-0 rout over Serbia, Tuchel lauded the player's professionalism, saying: "It’s the example of how the boys were in this camp, exactly like this. They put their personal interests aside. "He was the best team-mate possible and a fantastic performance. Very strong for Crystal Palace and showed it today on the pitch." England have already booked their spot at next year's World Cup. They host Serbia on Thursday night before travelling to Albania on Sunday for the final match of their qualification campaign.
