Emraan Hashmi Says Viral B**ds Of Bollywood Clip Inspired From Real Event: 'A Fan Who Started Singing…'

Emraan Hashmi recently broke his silence on the viral video from Aryan Khan’s directorial debut series The B**ds of Bollywood. In the clip, actor Raghav Juyal, who plays a die-hard Emraan Hashmi fan, is seen singing Kaho Na Kaho from Emraan’s 2004 film Murder. The nostalgic moment quickly took over social media, with fans calling it a “perfect throwback” to Emraan’s early 2000s era. Speaking to SCREEN, he explained how the moment connects to his real-life experiences, and how Aryan Khan, Manav Chauhan and Bilal Siddiqi used that as inspiration. “The writer is a very good friend of mine, Bilal. And I have a sneaky feeling that he’s actually taken it from one of my birthday celebrations I had with a fan, where he was also there. This was below my building, and you can see it on, it must be on YouTube also, there’s this fan who started off singing and just wouldn’t stop, and there was this embarrassed expression on my face. Bilal was there; I know he’s taken it from there only,” Emraan said. Earlier, speaking to the media during a press conference for his next release, Haq, Emraan shared that he recently had a candid conversation with Aryan Khan and the Red Chillies Entertainment team about the scene. “Kuch din pehle hi yeh conversation meri hui Aryan [Khan] aur Red Chillies team ke saath. Humein pata tha viral hoga, lekin is tarah se viral hoga, woh kabhi socha nahi tha. I think it’s a lesson to be learnt,” he said with a smile. He went on to add, “I think iske pehle fans jo hain, woh naam leke pukarte the, ya phir… ek doosra image tha, ‘S’ se shuru hota hai. Main naam nahi loonga, nahi toh raat bhar yahi chalta rahega.” Referring to his long-standing “serial kisser” tag, Emraan joked that it’s refreshing to see people talking about his dialogues now instead of his image. “Abhi woh dialogue ka zikr hota hai – so no complaints,” he quipped. The actor, who’s known for his intense roles and chartbuster songs, said he’s happy that audiences are now viewing his work from a new lens.
