Doha, October 28 (QNA) - Center for Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ehsan), one of the centers under the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, has officially inaugurated Kibar Al Qadr Majlis for men at the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, in collaboration with Katara's administration and with support from Mwani Qatar as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.The Majlis was inaugurated by CEO of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work Rashid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, in the presence of officials, representatives of supporting entities, and a distinguished group of senior citizens who expressed their appreciation for the initiative, which reflects the high regard for their role in society.The Majlis aims to strengthen social bonds among senior citizens and reduce social isolation by providing an interactive space for dialogue, consultation, and experience-sharing.It also supports their mental well-being through targeted programs and activities tailored to their needs, offering events that align with their interests and capabilities, and building a community support network to enhance their quality of life and positive societal presence.Executive Director of Ehsan Center Manal Ahmed Al Mannai stated on the occasion that they are pleased to inaugurate the Majlis in collaboration with Katara, as a living model of national partnerships that serve senior citizens and promote their well-being.She emphasized that the Majlis embodies the vision of empowering seniors to maintain their active presence in society through environments that value their experiences and respond to their interests.CEO of Mwani Qatar Captain Abdullah Mohammed Al Khanji remarked that they are proud to be part of this noble community initiative, which reflects values of appreciation and respect for the elderly and enhances their quality of life.He noted that the launch of the Majlis at Katara, supported by Mwani Qatar, underscores the company's firm commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to contributing to initiatives that leave a positive and lasting impact on society.He added that caring for senior citizens and providing them with a comfortable and safe environment is not merely a social duty, but an investment in human and societal values, an approach the company seeks to reinforce through its partnerships with leading national institutions such as Ehsan Center.Director of Public Relations and Communications at Katara Salem Mubkhout Al Marri stated that they, at Katara, are delighted to collaborate with Ehsan Center in inaugurating the Kibar Al Qadr Majlis, a project that reflects their community commitment and their efforts to provide a cultural and social environment that enables seniors to participate actively.He noted that Katara has previously organized various activities for Ehsan Center members, demonstrating ongoing cooperation and support for their cultural and social initiatives.At Katara, he continued, they believe in the importance of creating vibrant spaces that allow this segment of society to engage, exchange experiences, and enrich the cultural and social life of the community, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.
