An easyJet flight to Manchester Airport was forced to divert last night due to an 'urgent' issue onboard. The flight took off from Copenhagen as planned at around 10pm on Monday evening (October 27). The aircraft was due to land back in Manchester at around 10.45pm UK time. However, due to a passenger 'requiring urgent medical attention', the plane was diverted to Newcastle Airport instead. The flight then continued onto Manchester, a spokesperson for easyJet said. In a statement, the airline spokesperson said: "Flight EZY2238 from Copenhagen to Manchester on 27 October diverted to Newcastle, due to a customer onboard requiring urgent medical attention. "The customer was met by medical services on arrival and the flight continued to Manchester.
