EastEnders issue heartbreaking Sharon Watts update and fans will be devastated

EastEnders has issued a sad update on fan favourite Sharon Watts. In recent scenes of the BBC One soap, Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) incorrectly told Sharon (Letitia Dean) that her late husband and adoptive brother Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman) was the father of her twins she gave birth to in 2006. After one of her babies sadly passed away at birth 19 years ago , Zoe left the other behind and lied to Sharon about the real identity of their father in hope she would provide cash to help track the child down. However, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) learned her daughter was lying and revealed the truth to Sharon's sister Vicki Fowler (Alice Faig) resulting in a furious clash in the Queen Vic. During Tuesday's (October 28) episode, Vicki was seen telling Sharon on the phone about Zoe's bombshell. After her call with Sharon, Vicki told Zack Hudson (James Farrar): "She won't come back. I seriously think this has tipped her over the edge. She was so strong for me and all. She is in bits, Zack. It is like Denny has died all over again. "She wants to go to Florida, stay with mum so I've said I've got to get a bag together for Albie, I've got to take him in the morning, take him to the airport tomorrow. "I wish I was well enough to go with her, I need her. Honest to God, ain't we had enough? Zoe Slater has just ripped my whole family apart... again." Sharon has become obsessed with tracking down Dennis’ son and therefore her late son Denny’s half-brother. When Vicki explained the lengths that Sharon has gone to fund a private investigator, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) offered to transfer her the money she needs. Vicki previously told Ian that Sharon was visiting Jada Lennox (Kelsey Calldine-Smith) in Birmingham as she wanted to get DNA from Denny’s daughter Alyssa but it appears that Sharon has no plans to comeback after Zoe's latest stunt. How will Vicki cope without her sister around and will Sharon return to confront Zoe? EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am
