Dwarka Expressway Toll Collection Begins: All About NHAI’s Monthly, Annual Passes For Commuters

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has begun toll collection on the Dwarka Expressway at the Bijwasan Toll Plaza from Sunday morning. To ensure convenience for local commuters, three lanes on each side of the expressway have been reserved for the next three days for local residents, the NHAI announced. Those living within a 20 km radius of the toll are advised to obtain a monthly pass for Rs 340. The option for the annual pass is also available for uninterrupted travel. In a statement, the NHAI said it has set up multiple registration camps near the toll plaza to help residents easily register and collect their passes. “This initiative ensures a smooth transition to toll operations while maintaining convenience for nearby residents and daily commuters,” the NHAI said in a post on X. Various complaints of long queues were reported on Sunday due to the lack of clarity. The NHAI’s three-day window is meant to ease traffic movement and help guide local residents. The monthly Rs-340 pass allows locals to cross the toll 50 times in a month and the annual Rs 3,000 pass will offer 200 trips in a year to anyone. The standard toll rate for a one-way car trip is Rs 220 and the return within 24 hours will make it Rs 330. In a separate post on X, the FASTagOfficial, the official account of FASTag under (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) MoRTH, also explained that the Annual Pass is applicable on all National Highways including newly opened Bijwasan Toll Plaza on Dwarka Expressway and Mundka Toll Plaza on UER II. “Activate your Annual Pass today through Rajmargyatra App and enjoy Toll-free rides,” the post added.
