Dramatic pictures show a car with its roof ripped off after a vehicle transporter smashed into a bridge. The crash happened on the Roscoes Roundabout in Cheadle , in Stockport , this afternoon (Tuesday). A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a vehicle had hit a railway bridge. Photos show a red car on the transporter left badly damaged, with its roof entirely ripped off. The GMP spokesperson said a stretch of Stockport Road westbound has been closed off while the vehicle is recovered.
