President Donald Trump is hosting several Republican Senators in the Rose Garden at the White House on Tuesday. Trump said that “this is supposed to be sort of a private event, and there is no such thing in politics as a private event.” The president has invited all 53 Republican Senators for lunch to discuss the Since October 1, Senate Democrats have voted not to reopen the government in hopes that Republicans will agree to extend subsidies under the Affordable Care Act.
