Disgraced Prince Andrew offered Abu Dhabi palace as he faces losing royal lodge

Prince Andrew has been offered a completely new palace to call home . It comes as pressure continues to mount on the disgraced royal over his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The shamed royal, 65, is facing growing calls to give up all of his titles — including the word "Prince", a title bestowed upon him the moment he was born. Andrew has already given his other titles back to the royal household and had his own royal flag taken down on Friday (October 24). As the royal faces even more isolation from the rest of his family members, his residence at the Royal Lodge is also coming under fire. However, now one Arab sheikh has stepped in to offer a new home for Andrew to move into. Sources explained to the Sun that Andrew is reportedly in "advanced talks" with the ruler of the United Arab Emirates to lock down a luxurious palace in its capital, Abu Dhabi. If the deal goes through, Prince Andrew would be ousted from his current dwellings on the grounds of Windsor Castle. King Charles is believed to have had "enough" of the debacle that has engulfed the Royal Family in chaos since Epstein was convicted of child sex abuse and trafficking. His close relationship with the King's brother has been a bone of contention for Buckingham Palace as it continues to distance itself from Andrew's close ties with the paedophile. The revelation that Andrew had been paying a peppercorn rent rate — meaning he paid barely anything in order to stay in the Royal Lodge — sent the public into outrage and pushed King Charles over the edge, and told him to sort the mess out as quickly as possible. Now, another option has come up, as Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan offered Andrew his own digs. The sheikh has reportedly offered Andrew the use of a huge royal palace that lies next to a beautiful stretch of water in the Emirati capital. The move was made reportedly as a gesture of gratitude to Andrew for his support of the UAE when he was the UK’s international business envoy. Anonymous sources told the newspaper: "Abu Dhabi’s royal family have made it clear to Andrew that the palace is his if he wants it. It gives him an option should his position in the UK become untenable." The luxury palace spans a total of 1,500 square metres and boasts an impressive six bedrooms, an indoor gum amd a home cinema. As well as this, the palace also has a huge kitchen where live-in staff can tend to his every need and desire. Should Andrew and former wife Sarah Ferguson accept the sheikh's proposal, they would not be the first former royal to flee to the UAE. Previously, former King Juan Carlos of Spain also opted to move to the desert nation after he was engulfed in a major scandal of his own. Back in 2014, the royal — now aged 87 — was caught up in a financial scandal surrounding links he had built up with Saudi Arabia. To make matters worse, Juan Carlos had his own issues with sex debacles that had tarnished the Spanish royal family's reputation and left him with no choice but to take the sheikh up on his offer.
