David Beckham's intimate chat with King Charles revealed by lip reading expert

Sir David Beckham is now officially a knight of the realm, having been knighted by King Charles himself during a intimate ceremony at Windsor Castle. As the king knighted the former footballer, they shared a few words that have now been revealed by a lip reader. The ceremony happened on 4 November. David's knighthood was highly anticipated before it was announced in June, as the former England captain has undertaken a lot of charity work, including sports initiatives and campaigns for better research around malaria. Lip reading expert Nicola Hickling explained that the King told David he was "proud" of him, and David, in return, revealed what he planned to do with his career next. Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Nicola shared that King Charles said: "I am so proud of all you have done with your sports and charities. Amazing, you are unbelievable. I'm proud to knight you." David responded that it had been a "great day", to which the King encouraged him to "do what you're good at". At this point, David revealed he planned to write a book. "It's been my greatest honour, if I'm honest. Next step, I'm going to write a book. But being here has been incredible today." The King is said to have told David that he "can write a book" but that he would have to "try not to forget those names". David replied that he was sure people would be "so happy to be mentioned in it". David was joined at his ceremony by his wife, Victoria . Paying tribute to her and her fashion label, David wore a suit she made him. He shared that the King was impressed with his outfit. "He was quite impressed with my suit," David told PA. "He's kind of the most elegantly dressed man that I know, so he inspired quite a few of my looks over the years and he definitely inspired this look. "It was something that my wife made me. I looked at old pictures of him when he was quite young in morning suits and I was like, OK, that's what I want to wear, so I gave it to my wife and she did it." David and Victoria were joined by his parents, Sandra and Ted, and their children, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Seven. The only one of their immediate family not to attend was Brooklyn. Likewise, while Romeo and Cruz both shared videos and pictures from the day, Brooklyn has not posted about his father's knighthood. This is the latest in a series of snubs from the eldest Beckham child, as he also ignored his father's 50th birthday and the premiere of his mother's Netflix documentary. Like this story?
