Danny Rohl says his relationship with Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh compared to Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri is night and day, as he prepares for a key league phase match in the Europa League against Roma. The head coach at Ibrox is looking to pick his side up from a 3-1 loss in extra time against Celtic at the Premier Sports Cup semi-final stage. Rangers have lost three straight in Europe against Genk, Sturm Graz and Brann, with any realistic hopes of qualification potentially hinging on if they can take anything out their clash with Serie A opposition. Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises bought Rangers in the summer, when Rohl left Sheffield Wednesday amid financial issues, stemming from owner Chansiri. The Owls are now in administration but it has relieved the Thai businessman of control at Hillsborough with a rebuilding process now underway. Rohl, who had Cavenagh in attendance at training ahead of Roma, is grateful for support from above as things he didn’t have at Sheffield Wednesday come into play. Rohl said: “Yeah, so far I must say this is a great connection, relationship. We're always in touch, also after games we speak. Sometimes it's a message. I think this is good. I must say I missed such a relationship in the last two years. “I think all in all, the people around me try to support me. They help me in different parts of this job. My focus is to give them a lot of wins back. Of course, it's my responsibility. I would say it was a different environment. I think the club structure was a bit different. It was just the owner and me. “I did from recruitment to match prep to looking for pre-season camps, a lot of things by myself. Of course, I had some great people. I think the relationship in the club was good. There were a lot of good people there and they're still there. But, of course, now you have more people around you. I think it's also important for me now to take the first three weeks. I put my notice together, all the information, and then soon we're on the national break. It's about focus. “What is my first impression? What is my feedback on some topics? Then you have to carry on. I think this is very important at the moment. I think I need a minimum of three weeks to know more and more. I think even now some players haven’t been able to show what they can do. I think this is also important. I try to give everyone a chance. Some players are getting more chances at the moment. Some players have to wait for the chance. I'm sure that we will make good decisions for the future.” Rohl has also explained why Lyall Cameron has not been involved as of late. The midfielder arrived on a pre-contract from Dundee in the summer and is not injured, yet has not been in squads for recent games against Hibs and Celtic. He added: “I think this is always about how many players you can take and then you have to look at which positions you have to double up and what could happen during the game. "Sometimes it's hard for some players. It was just about this game, I think it's always important for my players to understand I pick the squad for the next game and not for the next four weeks. "There are so many games and tomorrow I have to decide again."
