Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker is a free agent, hitting the market in search of a multi-year deal that will make him one of the highest-paid players in baseball. Tucker is the biggest name in free agency this winter, and he will draw interest from just about every contending team, including his most recent team, the Cubs. The Cubs, though, have extra motivation to get a deal done since they traded for Tucker over the winter, giving up assets for one year of his services. When you’re talking about teams that are thinking about committing $300 million, $400 million to a guy, they can’t go deep into the winter because that’s going to affect what they do the rest of the winter. “So, you know, if you told me he’s going to sign at the winter meetings, I wouldn’t be stunned.” More news: Cubs Officially Lose 10 Players to Free Agency For all the latest MLB news and rumors, head over to Newsweek Sports.
