Crusader Kings 3 has continue to get plenty of interesting content since Paradox Interactive released it in 2020, and it just got even more, opening up the map to most of Asia and bringing Chinese, Japanese, and Southeast Asian content to its grand strategy. This far in, Paradox is still dedicated to making more for the fans that keep wanting to do more with Crusader Kings 3 and its expansions, and I got to talk to QA manager Riad Deneche and Producer Lucia Dzediti about how it’s shaped up and how the team continues to keep the base game exciting even as it adds new things. All Under Heaven was a long time coming. The Asian continent has been in the periphery of Crusader Kings 3 campaigns since its launch in 2020, but up to this point, we’ve only had features like The Silk Road economic storyline to even sniff at the history there. All Under Heaven finally answers the constant requests to include Asian politics and leaders in the grand with a wealth of famous rulers spread throughout China and the rest of the Asian continent. Paradox was proud to be able to finally take on this request for fans, and the team studied heavily to make sure it did the storylines of far Eastern leaders justice. The historical research and implementation was said to be one of the most fun parts of the process. But of course, All Under Heaven doesn’t leave out rulers that would rather focus on Western civilizations. The Silk Road storylines have been expanded and even further content has been added to make sure All Under Heaven’s stories and politics will play into even Western campaigns if you want them to. With All Under Heaven out now, it continues to be a good time to be a fan of grand strategy. Follow the Crusader Kings 3 topic for more updates and news.
