KARACHI: A Lahore-Jeddah flight was diverted to Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Thursday morning after the pilot detected cracks in the aircraft’s windshield while cruising at high altitude. According to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) spokesperson, the pilot observed the windshield cracks at approximately 34,000 feet, believed to have been caused by wind shear. As a precautionary measure, the pilot decided to divert the aircraft to Karachi. The PAA clarified that no bird strike was reported during the incident, and no emergency was declared at any point during the flight’s diversion. Copyright Business Recorder, 2025
