Coronation Street's Catherine Tyldesley 'adores' new co-star in 'destined' admission

Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has said she 'adores' her new co-star as she spoke about how she thinks they were 'destined' to work together. The actress has officially returned to the ITV soap, seven years after she was last seen playing Eva Price, having previously taken on the role from 2011 to 2018. Fans will recall that Eva left Weatherfield when she decided to move to France with her young daughter, Susie Price, following the devastating suicide of her little girl's father, Aidan Connor. But several years on and Catherine is once again donning blonde tresses as she transforms back into Eva, who is now officially the new landlady of the Rovers Return. However, as fans will have seen during Monday's (October 27) Corrie, all isn't as it seems and Eva wasn't alone, as she was seen arriving back on the cobbles with Susie, her new partner and her mother-in-law, Maggie, even made an unexpected arrival. Speaking of Eva's new family, Catherine told the Manchester Evening News and other press: "Kate [Brooks, Corrie's producer] told me that Eva and Ben had been together for a while and that they were really loved-up and that she wanted a powerhouse couple at the front of the pub that genuinely just thought the world of each other. "I thought that was really refreshing because I thought, 'Are they going to bring us in and split us up?'" Catherine continued: "But I adore Aaron who plays Ben. He's a real stellar actor. I've watched most of what he's done before and our paths have almost several times and so I think we were destined to work together and he's just been fantastic. Then to bring Pauline as well, I feel incredible lucky. It's lovely." And speaking of Pauline, Catherine has admitted that she is “a little bit obsessed” with the Father Tedd star, telling The Sun: “Pauline is like my girl crush. She’s phenomenal. She is hilariously funny but also the heartbreak side of things — she’s incredible. "Corrie fans are going to adore her. She is going to be a brand new Corrie icon. I just love watching her.”
