Common mascara 'mistake' everyone with blue eyes keeps making

Everyone has their own unique colour palette that influences what makeup you should buy - and it all comes down to your natural features. This has led beauty specialists to reveal the common 'mistake' those with blue eyes make when buying mascara. A statement from No 7 Beauty explains: "Black or brown mascara: which one should you choose? Black mascara has been the classic go-to shade for many of us, but it might be time to rethink as brown mascara is stealing the spotlight." While black mascara promises to deliver a "youthful-looking eye with luscious volume", brown can provide "a more natural look and enhance your lashes in a subtler way" - and it's reportedly an excellent choice for individuals with blue eyes. The statement continues: "When it comes to choosing between black and brown mascara, it's worth considering what complements your skin tone. "If you're more fair-skinned with blonde or red hair and have blue or green eyes, brown mascara is better suited as the softer shade brings out the colour of your irises and warms your skin tone. "As black mascara delivers more impact, this tends to work better on darker skin tone, eyes and hair colour while still looking natural." Eager to trial this colour theory, TikTok user Country Cahoon applied black mascara to one eye and brown to the other to demonstrate the contrast. In her video, she explains the brown opens up her eye to create a "soft, natural and bright look", while her other eye appears "a little bit more closed off and intense". One user commented on her post: "You sold me! ! Brown looks better to me!" Another added: "Brown for the day. Black for a night out." A third chimed in with: "Girl! Try burgundy. You're welcome." Yet another user stated: "Black looks more open. Sorry. Like the black better. Brown looks good also." One final user noted: "There's actually very few people that can pull off black mascara. People that have a warm and deep colour profile can." Finally, No 7 Beauty contributed: "The bottom line is there's no right or wrong answer. While black mascara is a firm favourite, brown mascara shouldn't be underrated, so which one is worth adding to your make-up bag? It seems it could be worth having both, depending on the look you're aiming for, whether you use them both together or separately."
