Students from the Army Public School in the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MLIRC) celebrated their annual day function with joy and patriotic zeal in Belagavi on Sunday. They presented a bouquet of cultural performances at the Shivaji Stadium on the MLIRC premises. The programmes were centred around the theme of Naya Bharat, Nayi Soch (New India, New Thinking). They highlighted innovation, inclusivity and the progressive spirit of young India. The two-day celebrations featured captivating cultural performances by students from nursery to higher primary classes, showcasing India’s diversity and dynamism through dance, drama and music. Each act reflected the vision of a modern, confident generation rooted in national pride and global outlook. Chief guest MLIRC Station Commander Brigadier Joydip Mukherjee was accompanied by FWO president Mrinalini Mukherjee. They lauded the efforts of the students and staff for their creativity, discipline and spirited presentation. The event drew wide participation from children of officers JCOs, ORs and civilians of Belagavi Military Station. With over 1,400 students taking part, the function stood as a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education and its mission to nurture confident, responsible citizens of a new India, said a press release.
