The Young Indians (Yi) Coimbatore chapter will organise the 18th edition of Coimbatore Vizha from November 14 to 24. According to Neil Kikani, chair of Yi Coimbatore, and Shanmugam Palaniappan, chair of the Vizha this year, the Vizha will be launched on October 31 evening at Brookefields Mall and there will be more than 100 events organised during the 11 days from November 14. The marquee event of this year will be “sky dance”, a project mapping experience, that will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on all the 11 days at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex. The Vizha will be inclusive this year with business pitches from transgender persons at the Pitch on November 20 and children with autism taking part in para sports and rallies. Efforts have been taken to take the Vizha to the residents by organising events in different neighbourhoods. Isai Mazhai will happen in six venues, clean up drive at five venues, and Parampariya Vizha at 11 venues. The Art Street will be on November 22 and 23 on the Scheme Road and East TV Swamy Road will host multiple musical presentations on November 22 evening.
