abcoffee, which specializes in on-the-go specialty coffee, will manage the ordering and delivery process. Coffee chain abcoffee has partnered with mobility firm Cityflo to pilot a service that lets passengers pre-order drinks and have them delivered directly on select city bus routes. The collaboration—pitched as India’s first F&B service for on-land transit—aims to ease the monotony of long commutes and make it more comfortable and convenient.“Prebooked food and beverages are standard in other modes of transit like flights and trains; city buses shouldn’t have to be any different,” said Rushabh Shah, Cityflo’s chief business officer. “We’re bringing the convenience and comfort of a café into the bus.”The initiative reflects a broader convergence between mobility and lifestyle services. Over the past decade, convenience has redefined customer expectations: fast-food chains have made drive-thru dining a default, and Indian railways now let travelers order meals through aggregator apps. The Cityflo–abcoffee partnership pushes that same logic onto urban buses—arguably the last frontier of personalized, on-demand service.abcoffee, which specializes in on-the-go specialty coffee, will manage the ordering and delivery process. Abhijeet Anand, abcoffee’s founder and chief executive, said the collaboration is aimed at “turning routine travel into a small moment of comfort.”Live EventsConsumers of global coffee chains such as Starbucks are attuned to a takeaway culture which helps cafes add margins at very little cost.In India, however, office-goers and students go to cafes to relax and spend hours over coffee and snacks. Real estate costs in India are high, making it vital for retailers to realise average price per square foot of space or look at other demand opportunities. For Cityflo, the move fits into a long-term ambition to evolve from a transport service into a “mobility ecosystem” where comfort and reliability are core offerings, not add-ons. The pilot, currently live on a few routes, will run for a month before being expanded to more services across Mumbai.Add as a Reliable and Trusted News Source Add Now!
