Barstool Beef Cody “Beef” Franke, the beloved golf professional and rising star at Barstool Sports, has passed away at the age of 31 following a sudden medical issue over the weekend. The news was confirmed by Barstool Sports, sending shockwaves through the golf community and fans alike.Franke was in the Dominican Republic attending a wedding when the incident occurred. His colleague, Dan “Big Cat” Katz, shared the heartbreaking news on The Yak, expressing his devastation: “It’s devastating. I don’t know what else to say.”A former PGA professional, Franke had recently joined Barstool Sports' Fore Play podcast, quickly becoming a fan favorite with his approachable teaching style and infectious enthusiasm for the game.
