On Sunday, Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett put together one of the greatest individual performances in recent memory that was unfortunately overshadowed by his team’s lackluster performance on the offensive side of the ball. This resulted in Garrett visibly showing his frustrations on the sidelines, which has perhaps garnered even more attention than his on-field dominance. Garrett imposed his will on the Patriots on Sunday, recording five sacks in the game. Unfortunately for the former Texas A&M product, this effort largely didn’t make much impact on the end result, as New England would ultimately cruise to a 32-13 victory. Near the end of Sunday’s game, Garrett was captured on the Fox broadcast slamming his helmet to the ground in frustration with his team’s performance. One could certainly argue that Garrett has every right to feel frustrated, given how well he played in his own right on Sunday. It’s truly hard for the perennial Pro Bowler to impact a game any more than he did, only to lose by nearly three scores. You knew what you were getting into when they paid you $120 million to stay in Cleveland. You knew what you were getting. I love (Kevin) Stefanski, but Cleveland is Cleveland because they have got to fix it up front. They had got to figure out what they are going to do at the quarterback position.” "Dude, you had your chance and you chose the money, you knew what you were getting into… If I'm Cleveland, I'm trading Myles Garrett."— HOF'er Jared Allen on Myles Garrett pic.twitter.com/LeZtWrOUOl— Up & Adams (@UpAndAdamsShow) October 27, 2025 More news: Ravens’ John Harbaugh Addresses Lamar Jackson’s Controversial Injury Status As for how Allen would fix the current frustrations of Garrett, the former Minnesota Vikings star did share his opinion that the Browns should actually trade their superstar edge rusher and acquire as much draft capital as possible for him to fully rebuild. “Now, if I am Cleveland, I am trading Myles Garrett, trading his contract, getting as many picks as I possibly can,” said Allen. “I am letting that guy go try and win somewhere. I am going to try and rebuild my organization. Because the reality is, they are so far away from a championship. He’ll have a gold jacket before they even sniff that.” Maybe Garrett did believe that the Browns could turn things around when he signed his extension back in March. Or, maybe the six-time All-Pro truly did sign for the money, as Allen was alluding to. Either way, given where Cleveland stands at the moment as an organization, maybe a trade is the best course of action for both sides. So it will certainly be interesting to see whether the Browns pursue this possibility ahead of the 2025 NFL trade deadline.
