Trevon Diggs' last few weeks have been strange. Ahead of the Dallas Cowboys' Week 7 matchup versus the Washington Commanders, Diggs was placed on the concussion protocol on a Friday. He's missed the Cowboys' two games since then and was even placed on Injured Reserve last weekend, which means he'll miss an additional three games, at minimum. He was also listed with a knee injury, leading many to believe it was the same knee that he was rehabbing in the offseason. Spoiler alert: It isn't, but more on that later. All the while, the Cowboys have publicly questioned his health, with owner Jerry Jones saying he "hasn't been there" physically for the team. To add intrigue to the situation, Micah Parsons toldYahoo Sports he felt like Dallas "screwed (Diggs) over." On Tuesday, Jones finally provided some clarity to the situation, starting with the fact that Diggs' injury is on his other knee. "Diggs' biggest problem is he's injured, and it's not the same knee that he's been doing his rehab with," Jones told 105.3 The Fanduring an interview. "So that's his number one challenge. Unfortunately, he's got a handful of challenges here that are physically related, and that's why he was the status he's got today."Jones added he didn't believe Diggs rushed to be back for the season. Jones suggests Diggs will play again for the Cowboys Amid all the smoke and drama surrounding Diggs, fans and media members have speculated about whether or not we've seen the last of the All-Pro cornerback as a member of the Dallas Cowboys. On top of the blurry injury situation he's going through, there has been a good amount of drama between the sides. In the offseason, the Cowboys enforced a salary de-escalator on Diggs' contract worth $500,000. I training camp, Jones questioned the front office's decision to extend Diggs. And during the season, Diggs and DC Matt Eberflus have exchanged slight jabs through the media over differing thoughts on scheme. Jones, however, was very clear when asked about a scenario existing where Diggs has played his last down as a Cowboy: "I don't see that today at all." The earliest Diggs could return is Week 13 versus the Kansas City Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day. window.addEventListener('message', function (event) {if (event.data.totalpoll && event.data.totalpoll.action === 'resizeHeight') {document.querySelector('#totalpoll-iframe-375').height = event.data.totalpoll.value;}}, false);document.querySelector('#totalpoll-iframe-375').contentWindow.postMessage({totalpoll: {action: 'requestHeight'}}, '*')
