Cisco’s Unified Edge will combine chips, storage, networking and security software, as well as tools meant to monitor how the system is performing, the company said in a statement Monday. The gear relies on Cisco products for handling the networking, security and monitoring tasks, while letting customers add in their choice of chips from vendors like Nvidia Corp. or Intel Corp.
