However, his future with the Jacksonville-based company has been uncertain, as he has been absent from programming since April. Le Champion's absence has also led to speculation that he will soon return to WWE, and a recent decision he made has only added to those rumors. A new update has emerged indicating that Jericho has abandoned his trademark for "The Jericho Vortex." For those unaware, Y2J was using the phrase as a joke to entertain fans who had adopted the term to suggest that his opponents in Tony Khan's company were in a worse position after working with him.The Nueve filed for this trademark in April 2024 but apparently did not submit a statement of use or request any extension period for the trademark.Chris Jericho set to make major appearance outside AEWAlthough Chris Jericho's future in AEW currently seems uncertain, his immediate plans outside the Jacksonville-based promotion business appear to be settled. Jericho and his band Fozzy will perform at this year's Sonic Temple Festival in Ohio.
