Misery for Hugh Freeze‘s Auburn continues past their last Saturday loss against Missouri. This time, they face a possible big blow to their chances of recruiting a 5-Star Safety commit. Reports suggest that Auburn’s form this season has made the recruit’s father rethink options, with the frontrunner being LSU. The player in question is Bralan Womack, who plays as a safety for Hartfield Academy High School. He is a 2026 Auburn commit, but Hugh Freeze’s side has had a poor start to the season, sitting 15th in the SEC. This has made Bralan Womack’s father question if Auburn was the right choice for his son in the first place. He confirmed that Bralan would be attending the LSU-Texas A&M game this week, which has fans speculating that the Safety is reconsidering his options. “We’re going to LSU this weekend. Just really not sure about what’s about to happen at Auburn. Just hoping they can have some things in place,” said Womack’s father. The game between LSU and the Aggies is one of the biggest this week, and is a must-win for both sides. It is also the showdown between two of the biggest programs in college football, which is why Womack’s father wants him to see the program and its atmosphere. This one was kind of unexpected. We didn’t know it was going to happen. He came to us and said we’re going to go to LSU,” said Womack Sr. Well, it makes sense for Bralan Womack to reconsider his options, considering how bad Auburn has been this year. With one win from the last five games, it makes it all the more unlikely that Bralan Womack would join them, especially when he has offers from top programs in the country. “Missouri, Vanderbilt, Alabama,” were the names BJ took when asked about the other programs interested in Bralan. While he did add that there are no other visits planned aside from LSU, it serves as a reminder for Hugh Freeze that he is on the cusp of losing Bralan to other programs. The 5’11” (S) has been a priority recruit for Hugh Freeze, who is looking to bolster his team for the 2026 season. ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad
