Chennai: In a shocking incident, a 38-year-old man identified as Prakash was hacked to death in broad daylight near Ashok Nagar in Chennai on Wednesday, October 29. He was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries before reaching there. The police have arrested two women and a man in connection with the alleged crime. According to local sources, the deceased was having an affair with one of the women arrested. The accused have been identified as Dhananchezhiyan (42), his wife Suganya (37) and their friend Gunasundari (27). Prakash, a native of Puducherry, had come to Chennai for business purposes. He parked his car on Ashok Nagar 4th avenue on Wednesday and was accompanied by Suganya. The two had known each other from school and were said to be in a relationship. After which, Dhananchezhiyan kept tracking his wife's movement, When he saw the two of them chatting in the car, Dhananchezhiyan attacked Prakash and stabbed him multiple times. All of them fled after the incident, leaving Prakash suffering in a pool of blood. He had sustained severe injuries in the attack. However, locals came to Prakash’s help and took him to the ESI Hospital in KK Nagar. However, the doctors declared him dead before he reached the hospital. The police have launched an investigation into the matter. Officials said they are looking into the matter through all possible angles and further proceedings are underway.
