The legendary golfer, who has achieved 15 major wins and 82 victories on the PGA Tour was once a bright name in junior golf.Woods' son, Charlie, is also an aspiring talent who has followed in his father's footsteps and walked into the world of golf. On Wednesday, he achieved one of the many honors achieved by the Cypress Native. A few hours ago, Charlie Woods became a part of the First Team All-America list declared by the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA).Tiger Woods' son, who is currently a junior at The Benjamin School in South Florida, was a part of the 12-man team. The young golfer's squad was announced as the first team that made it to the AJGA's Annual "Rolex Junior All-America Teams" list. Charlie and his teammates got selected exclusively on the basis of the AJGA Rolex Rankings till October 14, 2025.The honors received by Woods come days after his feat at the Florida High School Athletic Association Region 1-4A championship. Tiger Woods' son finished 72 and led his team to a four-shot victory at Park West Palm over the defending champions. Although this was a considerable feat for an aspiring amateur like Charlie, the young golfer appeared visibly frustrated at his performance while playing the seventeenth hole.Apart from this, Tiger Woods' son has already shone through his first AJGA title win at the AJGA Team TaylorMade Invitational in May. Charlie secured a three-round total of 15 under par 201 (overall 70-65-66). Two months later, he qualified for the US Junior Amateur for the second time. Woods also secured a T9 finish at this year's Junior PGA Championship at Lafayette, Indiana."I think it's incredible" - When Tiger Woods expressed how proud he was of his son, Charlie WoodsLast year, Woods and Charlie paired up for the 2024 PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton in Florida. On the final day, the former World Number One's son carded his first hole-in-one while playing on the par-3 fourth. After making the shot, Charlie was embraced by the 15-time major champ who was visibly happy.Following his son's achievement, Tiger Woods stated how Charlie has improved in different parts of the game. He said (as quoted by Sky Sports):"He has gotten better at every facet of the game. That's a commitment to practicing and developing as a player. Most of us forget he's only 15..."Referring to Charlie's age back then, Woods labeled his son's efforts as "incredible" and talked about the unlimited possibilities ahead. In his statement, Woods said:"Being only 15, I think it's incredible what he's been able to accomplish so far and the ceiling that he has is unlimited."Tiger and Charlie Woods finished in the top spot of the 2024 PNC Championship leaderboard alongside Bernhard Langer and his son, Jason Langer. In the sudden-death playoff, Team Langer took the victory away with an ace on the first, leaving Team Woods as the runner-ups of the contest.
