The penultimate instalment was full of plenty of drama as faithful Kate Garraway was banished at the Round Table after Celia Imrie was murdered in plain sight by Alan. However after Kate had gone rugby player Joe returned to his theory from earlier in the day that Alan could be a Traitor and had just been slipping under the radar. He then confidently confided in Nick Mohammed that he thought Cat was too - as the actor agreed with him. Joe plans now to stay close to Cat and Alan to stay safe and then unleash his theory at the last minute to blindside them. Speaking to the camera at the end of the episode he said: 'My plan involves getting really close to Alan and Cat so they keep me in the game, and then I can try and pull the rug from under their feet at the last minute. Viewers will find out if Joe can pull off his audacious plan during next Thursday's Celebrity Traitors final. Fans of the show took to X to praise Joe for figuring things out as they penned: 'Didn't have Joe Marler down as being the smartest man in this game.' 'Joe and Nick really Sherlock and Watson.' 'HE'S ONLY GONE AND CRACKED IT!' 'Joe Marler is too good. I'm so glad I have him in the work sweepstake.' 'Yessssssssss, come on Nick & Joe!!!!!.' 'Omg joe has got it.' 'YESSS, Joe cracked the case that Alan and Cat are the Traitors.' 'I think Cat and Alan are Traitors' JOE IS ON IT!' Elsewhere the five finalists were revealed after the action-packed penultimate episode which saw a murder in plain sight and a final roundtable slanging match. Speaking to the camera at the end of the episode he said: 'My plan involves getting really close to Alan and Cat so they keep me in the game...' Keen to catch one more Traitor before the final, discussions between the contestants got heated with David Olusoga and Kate exchanging blows. Kate noted that David had faced accusations of being a Traitor before but they had since 'evaporated'. David replied: 'It did. The person who was most insistent on trying to to explore it at the next table was you.' 'Only because I was trying to bring something useful to the table. It's my job. I feel like,' Kate said before David tried to interrupt. She chastised him: 'I'm just going to finish. I was just the only one that was brave enough to raise it.' 'It feels like there's an implication behind when you state a fact. Sometimes, David, I feel like you're then implying something, and it's only you, and then you allow everybody to then look back at me and think, why did she do that?' He defiantly told her: 'Well, that's exactly what I'm doing.' Before patronisingly adding: 'That's what we are supposed to be doing. We're stating a fact because that's how you have conversations. That's exactly what I'm doing.' Claudia then brought discussions to a close and asked them to vote. While Nick voted for Cat, David and Cat went for Kate and Alan and Kate opted for David. The Celebrity Traitors' five finalists REVEALED: Fans rejoice as 'useless' Kate Garraway is finally banished in action-packed penultimate episode while fan favourite Celia Imrie is murdered in plain sight Joe had the deciding vote and he went for Kate, sending her home as fans rejoiced on social media. During her exit speech, she revealed herself to be a faithful telling them: 'I've had a lot of years of being very serious, very sad, and you've all allowed me to play the most amazing game, but also you've allowed me to play and be silly and have fun.' 'Every single one of you I'm going to take away a new idea and the start of a new kind of life, really. 'So thank you very much for all of that. Thank you genuinely. I have and always have been totally myself, a faithful.' Taking to X fans rejoiced that Kate's game had finally come to an end as they penned: 'Kate is gone at last'; 'The scapegoat is gone!!!!'; 'Finally Kate is gone'; ' 'Kate entirely brought this on herself by bringing up her own name all day'; 'Hot take: Kate shouldve been the first to go but I'm happy she stayed this long obvi'. Others congratulated her as they added: 'Honestly have no idea how Kate made it this far but we love you diva'. 'Considering Kate was suspected of being a Traitor from almost day 1 and has seemingly been completely clueless throughout its a miracle she's lasted this long. Well done!'. As Cat, Alan, Joe, Nick and David relaxed in the castle after the tense discussions, they were then ushered out to the fire pit. He then confidently confided in Nick Mohammed that he thought Cat was too - as the actor agreed with him Claudia told them they were the final five finalists and nobody would be getting murdered. She then asked them to all individually tell the group that 'I am a faithful'. Traitor Alan immediately burst out laughing as he tried to repeat the words, which aroused suspicion. Joe said: 'It's just another confirmation of what I'm thinking already about Alan. He can't even look us in the eyes and say I'm a faithful. If that's not a red flag, I don't know what is.'
