Here’s all you need to know: Do the stars get paid for Celebrity Traitors? The Independent reports that The Rest is Entertainment co-host Marina Hyde claimed in an episode that each of the stars received a flat salary of £40,000 to appear on the show. Richard Osman, who is also on the podcast, has previously said he turned down appearing on the Celebrity Traitors. Marina said: “They were able to pay everybody a blanket 40k fee, right? They’re paying them a 40k fee.” The BBC did not respond to the Independent’s request for comment on the salary. What happens to the prize money? At the end of the final, the winner or winners will be left standing with the prize pot. If even a single traitor is left, they will take all the money, otherwise the faithful will split it. Unlike the regular version of The Traitors, the celebrity spin-off is for charity and the winnings will go to the charities of choice for whoever comes out on top. It has not been revealed yet which charities the celebs will give the money to - but expect that to perhaps come out afterwards. There will be a prize pot of up to £100,000 and the winner or winners will be revealed in the final this evening.
