Celebrate St. Andrew’s Day in Rojales at Coopers Family Bar & Restaurant

On November 23, the heart of Rojales will be beating to the sound of bagpipes and fiddles as Coopers Family Bar & Restaurant transforms itself into a lively corner of Scotland. The much-loved local spot, located on Avenida Antonio Quesada 49, is hosting a ‘Scottish St Andrew’s Special‘ – a festive evening of traditional Scottish fare, live music, and warm hospitality. Guests are invited to arrive at 6pm, with dinner served at 6:30pm and music starting at 8:30pm. The celebration will carry on until 11:30pm, bringing a taste of the Highlands to Spain’s sunny Costa Blanca. A Feast Fit for the Highlands Coopers’ St Andrew’s menu special is a four-course tribute to Scottish cuisine and heritage. It begins with a choice of Scotch Broth or the creamy, comforting Cullen Skink soup. The second course is pure comfort: diners can choose between Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, a Scotch Pie, or a Steak and Ale Pie, each served with traditional neeps and tatties. For dessert, the third course offers a choice between Traditional Cranachan or Sherry Trifle, both sweet nods to Scotland’s beloved puddings. And finally, in proper Scottish fashion, the evening ends with Shortbread and a Wee Dram – a toast to good food, good company, and a shared love of culture. The full menu and entertainment are available for €25 per person, while entry without the meal is €10. Pre-booking is essential for dining guests. Reservations can be made by calling +34 966 73 10 16, emailing coopersbar23@gmail.com, or by asking a member of staff for a pre-order form if you’re already nearby. For extra convenience, Coopers has also made the pre-order form available on their Facebook page, where it can be filled out and returned directly to the restaurant – perfect for those who like to get organised before the big night. The Sound of Scotland in Spain The evening’s soundtrack will be provided by ‘The Raymond Chuchuck Scottish Dance Band’, who are set to fill the Casa with the lively tunes of reels, jigs, and traditional Scottish melodies. Expect an atmosphere bursting with energy, as Coopers combines the charm of a classic ceilidh with the easy-going warmth of a Costa Blanca night out. The event’s flyer invites everyone to “join us for an enchanting night of Scottish cuisine and live music that celebrates the rich heritage and flavours of Scotland!” It’s a one-of-a-kind evening where tartan meets tapas, whisky meets sunshine, and the spirit of St Andrew finds a new home by the Mediterranean. A Night to Remember Whether you’re Scottish, part-Scottish, or simply curious about the culture, Coopers’ St Andrew’s celebration promises a night to remember. With its hearty food, rousing live music, and famously friendly atmosphere, this family-run favourite continues to bring people together – one delicious event at a time. So, mark your calendars for November 23, bring your appetite, and get ready to raise a glass – or a wee dram – to St Andrew. In Rojales, for one magical evening, Scotland won’t feel too far away.
