SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help to identify suspects in a burglary caught on camera. The sheriff’s office said it first received reports of a burglary on the 2200 block of Peach Orchard Road just after midnight Tuesday. Responding deputies found the suspects had thrown something through the door to get inside the business. They then stole several items, including what were identified as vape devices, before running away. Surveillance footage provided by the sheriff’s office shows the incident happened around an hour earlier. The video also includes audio that captures the suspects’ voices. “These criminals hurt individuals, businesses, and the reputation of our county. We are better than this — and many times, good citizens step up, share a tip, earn a reward, and help bring criminals to justice,“ Sumter County Sheriff Anthony Dennis said in a statement. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office at 803-436-2000. Feel more informed, prepared, and connected with WIS.
