At the time, it was rumored that OpenAI had hired former Chrome developers to work on their browser product, and now a year later, we're seeing the first product come to light in the form of the Atlas browser. The benefit of having ChatGPT in your browser is that it can now work on any website you visit. It becomes a valuable tool on any website, and it also takes away the pain of copying and pasting the data from one platform to another. Naturally, ChatGPT will be able to keep all your past interactions stored in order to recall them when needed. The company shares that you're welcome to scrub these "memories" from the browser if you don't need them in order to create a more private experience. The brand also shares that Agent Mode is available in the browser for Pro, Plus, and Business subscribers. It's easy to see why something like this could become a tipping point, with the news already affecting Google's business directly.
