A car has crashed into a Scots restaurant, leaving onlookers shocked and the vehicle a mangled wreck. The incident took place at around 4pm on Wednesday, October 29 when the vehicle ploughed into an eatery on Dunfermline High Street. The car plummeted into Carlucci, an Italian restaurant situated in the centre of town, a popular spot for locals. Photos taken at the scene and shared on social media show the front of the blue car completely smashed up. The front left hand side of the motor has been ripped from its body. Debris can be seen strewn across the town centre streets while a concerned person can be seen standing guard, on their phone , surveying the damage. The vehicle looks to have ran into the entrance of the restaurant and knocked over outside dining chairs as well as a few bollards which can be seen having uprooted from the pavement. It is unclear who was driving the car or how the dramatic event unfolded. It is also not yet known if the restaurant remains open for business or if it has closed while clean-up takes place. The food spot has not posted any updates or shared an acknowledgement of the incident on social media . Police Scotland confirmed that the car hit a bollard and thankfully, no one was hurt.
