Candace Cameron Bure would like to apologize. The Full House actress expressed regret about an incident with her mother, Barbara Cameron. The star revealed a moment from her past when she was admittedly not very kind—and it happened during a very personal maternal moment: a severe hot flash. Speaking on The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast, the star shared the details of the family outing that took place years ago. ‘Out of a Swimming Pool’: The Mall Moment “I was at the mall one time. I had my kids but they were really young. My mom came out to visit. We were in the shoe store Nine West, shoe shopping. We were at the cashier counter. We’re purchasing a pair of shoes,” said Cameron Bure. I looked over at my mom and she looks like she just got out of a swimming pool. She had the worst hot flash in the middle of the store. And I looked at her and I laughed so hard. I laughed and I was like, ‘Mom, what is going on?!’” Full Circle Sympathy: Why Candace Is Now More Understanding Her mother reacted with a memorable warning that Cameron Bure carries with her: “She just took a moment to collect herself. She was so gracious and here I am cackling at her thinking it’s the funniest thing. And she looked at me and she goes, ‘You just wait. You just wait. Just hope it doesn’t happen to you like this.’” Oops! We’re unable to load this content right now. While she noted she has not yet experienced menopause, Cameron Bure has been open about her own struggles, including the personal toll of living with depression and the external pressure of aging on camera. In recent episodes of the podcast, she has connected these physical realities with emotional health, exploring topics like perimenopause, body image, and the search for balance. This vulnerable approach to chronic health issues and hormonal changes is part of what allows her to connect with her listeners and look back at her past actions with regret.
