Buccaneers’ RB Fined for Unnecessary Roughness vs Detroit

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers couldn’t keep up with the Detroit Lions. The Pewter Pirates fall 24-9 on Monday Night Football and are now 5-2 on the season. Unfortunately one Buccaneer has lost more than the game. Via Fox Sports Greg Auman, “Bucs RB Rachaad White was fined $46,371 for “unnecessary roughness — use of helmet” for a first-quarter play vs. Lions where he lowered his helmet as he approached a defender. It’s the largest of 23 fines levied by the NFL this week.” Rachaad White wasn’t penalized during the game. But a postgame review led to a hefty fine. This is one of the stiffest penalties given for that type of infraction this season.
