Jordan Love Gets Offensive Playmaker Back For Matchup Against Aaron Rodgers

Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are gearing up for a huge road game in Week 8 when they hit the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers. Love was the back-up for Rodgers from 2020-2022, and this game figures to be important for all parties involved. It will be all hands on deck for this game, and Love got some good news on Saturday. Star wide receiver Christian Watson was activated of the injured reserve, and he is in line to play in the game on Sunday night. He has been practicing since Oct. 6, but the team activating him off the IR officially makes him eligible to play on Sunday. Injuries have been an issue for Watson throughout his career, as he played in only nine games in 2023. Last season was the most games he has played in a season, and he finished with 29 catches for 620 yards. The matchup against the Steelers could be a perfect matchup for Watson, as they are currently ranked 31st against the pass (258.8 yards allowed). In their game against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7, the Steelers allowed for Joe Flacco to throw for 347 yards and three touchdowns. While it is unknown how much Watson is going to play, just having him on the field is going to force opposing defenses to have a safety over top. This should only help Josh Jacobs to have even more rushing lanes, and will open up the big play ability in the play-action game. Kickoff between the Packers and the Steelers will be for 8:20 p.m. ET, and the game will be the Sunday Night Football game on NBC.
