The Bruins made a roster move on Sunday afternoon that involved their injured defenseman. Hampus Lindholm was placed on injured reserve. The defenseman was injured in Boston’s home opener against the Chicago Blackhawks on Oct. 9. Coach Marco Sturm classified the injury as minor and not related to the knee injury Lindholm suffered last season that kept him sidelined for a majority of 2024-25. Lindholm returned to play against the Colorado Avalanche on Oct. 18, but hasn’t played since. He became the second defenseman to be placed on IR. Lindholm joins Jordan Harris, who the Bruins put on injured reserve on Oct. 22. It’s unclear how much time the Mass. native will miss. To take Lindholm’s place on the roster, Boston summoned Jonathan Aspirot from Providence. The left-shot defenseman has been in the AHL since 2019-20, playing for the Belleville Senators and Calgary Wranglers. In two seasons with the Wranglers, Aspirot as 11 goals with 51 assists in 131 games. The Bruins travel to Ottawa to take on the Senators on Monday.
