The Toronto Blue Jays captured Game 4 of the 2025 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, 6-2. It was an impressive showing from the American League East champions, especially given how they lost less than 24 hours earlier. On Monday, the Jays lost 6-5 in an 18-inning marathon. It was the second-longest World Series game in history (by time), trailing only Game 3 of the 2018 World Series, which also featured the Dodgers winning via walk-off. That game came against the Boston Red Sox, though. But like the Red Sox, Toronto also bounced back to win the next night. Afterward, Ernie Clement explained the team’s mental approach. “That’s what we do, we bounce back. We’ve got a resilient group and it’s a testament to the character in our clubhouse”Ernie Clement spoke with Tom Verducci after the Game 4 #WorldSeries win for the Blue Jays pic.twitter.com/ZHDE37zCUx— FOX Sports: MLB (@MLBONFOX) October 29, 2025 “That’s what we do, we bounce back. We’ve got a resilient group, and it’s a testament to the character in our clubhouse,” Clement said, as seen in a video posted to X by FOX Sports. The game was tight until the seventh inning, when the Blue Jays scored four runs. They managed to accomplish that feat on just 17 pitches. “Yeah, I mean, we are aggressive on pitches in the zone,” told Tom Verducci in the video. “We have to be. They have some really good arms, so when you get those mistakes, you gotta jump on them.” The Blue Jays find themselves two wins away from winning their first World Series in 32 years. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is obviously a big reason why. He made his presence felt again on Tuesday night, taking Shohei Ohtani deep for his seventh home run of this postseason. That set a Blue Jays franchise playoff record. Clement is riding a 10-game hitting streak after going 2-for-4 with a run scored in Game 4. He is now hitting .393 this postseason, leading the team. The Rochester, N.Y., native is a prime example of what this Blue Jays team is about. They can rake up and down the lineup.
