Bihar NDA Manifesto: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) manifesto, Sankalp Patra, for Bihar in the presence of BJP National President JP Nadda, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Ministers Jitan Ram Manjhi and Chirag Paswan, and RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha.Focus On Employment And Economic SupportThe NDA’s manifesto pledges to provide over one crore government jobs for the youth in Bihar. The NDA has also promised to help one crore women become Lakhpati Didis, raise the annual Kisan Samman Nidhi assistance from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000, and guarantee a Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all crops.Infrastructure Development Across Key CitiesOn infrastructure, the alliance has pledged to develop international airports in Patna, Darbhanga, Purnia, and Bhagalpur, and to start metro rail projects in Patna, Gaya, Purnia, and Bhagalpur.Education And Youth Welfare InitiativesIn the education sector, the manifesto talks about opening residential schools for SC/ST students in every division, giving a Rs 2,000 monthly stipend to those pursuing higher education, providing breakfast along with mid-day meals, and setting up medical colleges in every district.Commitment To Social Welfare And InclusionFor social welfare, the NDA promises Rs 10 lakh in financial aid for Scheduled Castes and Extremely Backward Classes, building 50 lakh new houses, providing free electricity up to 125 units, and expanding social security pensions to support the poor and needy.Elections for Bihar’s 243 Assembly seats are scheduled to take place in two phases on November 6 and 11, while counting of votes will be held on November 14.
