Bengaluru Traffic: The Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Eid Milad celebrations in the Bommanahalli area on Thursday, 7 November 2025, urging motorists to avoid certain stretches of Hosur Road and take alternative routes after 3 PM. Grand Procession PlannedAccording to the advisory, the celebrations are being organised by the Bommanahalli Muslim Youth Welfare Association (R). The event will begin at 3 PM, when devotees from various mosques around Bommanahalli will gather near the Mecca Mosque in Mangammanapalya, Madina Nagar. From there, a grand procession comprising 2,000 to 2,500 devotees and 17 to 20 tableau vehicles will set off from Mangammanapalya Main Road. The procession will move along the Hosur Road Service Road, join Hosur Main Road near the Mangammanapalya Bus Stand, take a U-turn near the 21st pillar, and proceed to the Bommanahalli Junction before concluding in front of the Urdu School behind Jamia Masjid on Begur Road. Bengaluru Traffic Disruptions ExpectedAuthorities have warned of possible traffic congestion and delays for vehicles entering and leaving Bengaluru City via Hosur Road, especially around Bommanahalli Junction, Rupena Agrahara, and Garvebhavipalya Junction. Commuters using these routes have been advised to plan ahead, avoid the area after 3 PM, and follow the suggested diversions. Alternative Routes for CommutersTo ease the traffic flow, police have recommended the following alternative routes: From Wilson Garden and Adugodi: Vehicles can take Dairy Circle – Bannerghatta Road – NICE Road to reach Hosur Road.From Banashankari side: Vehicles can use the Double Decker Flyover, turn right at Jayadeva Junction, proceed via Bannerghatta Road, and join Hosur Road through NICE Road.From Outer Ring Road (Marathahalli side): Vehicles can turn left onto 27th Main Road, proceed to Kudlu via Vemana Junction and Somasundarapalya, and then continue to Hosur Main Road.From Hosur towards Bengaluru: Vehicles can use the Electronic City Elevated Flyover for smooth travel.The Bengaluru Traffic Police have appealed to the public to cooperate and follow the diversions to ensure a smooth flow of traffic during the religious procession.
