A frozen custard stand near Carlisle has closed after seven years. On Oct. 23, Meadows Frozen Custard at 1075 Harrisburg Pike in Middlesex Township shared the news in a Facebook post. “I wanted to reach out and thank you for all the past 7 years you have given me in this wonderful town and community. Thank you to all the loyal customers over my years, and employees I’ve employed, but we are now out of business. I wish you all the best and thank you from the bottom of my heart!” it read. A reason for the closure was not provided. Attempts to reach the owner were unsuccessful. Judging by the comments, the business will be missed. “I love you The Meadows I’m so sad thank you for all the sweet treats I will never forget this place. It changed my life,” wrote one person on Facebook. “Sad to hear this. We’ve always enjoyed your custards and your employees have been wonderful over the years,” said another poster. Meadows Frozen Custard is a Duncansville-based chain specializing in frozen custard, yogurt, Italian ice, milkshakes, sundaes, and more. Other locations, including one at 4628 Jonestown Road in Lower Paxton Township, remain open but are currently closed for the season.
