Bandon coach Dustin Carmack could be excused if he scoured the South Coast town for voodoo dolls of his players. A year ago, Carmack watched one Tiger after another seemingly fall victim to injuries as a 3-1 season disintegrated into a 3-6 finish that marked the team’s first losing record since 2017. The only saving grace was that several freshmen and sophomores received extensive playing time that coupled with the return to health of players like senior quarterback Reggie Turner and running back Hayden Thompson. This has led to the program’s first 6-0 start since 1998 after a 50-38 win over Myrtle Point last week moved Bandon to 2-0 in league play.
