A 21-year-old B.Tech graduate was found dead at his paying guest (PG) accommodation reportedly after inhaling toxic fumes while sleeping on Monday (October 20, 2025) night. The deceased identified as Pawan from Tirupathi who was staying along with three friends in a room on sharing basis. He along with his friends had gone to his hometown for Deepavali festival and He returned alone on Monday night (October 22). Meanwhile, the owner of the PG accommodation had used bed bug spray as the PG was empty and locked the room with a warning sticker. Pawan returned to the PG late at night and did not inform the security and opened the lock with a spare key and went to sleep as he was tired due to long travel. While sleeping, he allegedly inhaled toxic fumes and died while sleeping. The incident came to light when the security guard noticed the torn sticker and Pawan sleeping inside and rushed to his help. He with the help of others shifted Pawan to a near-by hospital where the doctors declared him as brought dead. The HAL police have registered a case of death due to negligence against the owner of the PG and are awaiting postmortem report to rule out any foul play.
