The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Awutu Senya West, Kalala Eghan Nyamekye has announced the relocation of the Awutu Senya West District Health Centre. This move comes as a result of the ongoing construction of the Kasoa-Winneba Highway, which has disrupted operations in four key departments of the facility. In an interview with the media Mr. Nyamekye appealed to the Ghana Highway Authority and other stakeholders to support the development of a new ultramodern health centre to better serve the community. The Gyasehene of the Awutu Bereku Traditional Area, Nai Kwashie Aheni, confirmed that land has already been allocated for the new hospital. He expressed confidence that, with the commitment shown by the MP and DCE, the project could be completed by January.
