Jaws have dropped thanks to Avery Cyrus hopping on the racy TikTok trend for Sabrina Carpenter’s track “Tears”. Carpenter dropped the music video for the second single from Man’s Best Friend at the end of August. It featured Oscar-nominated Rustin and Sing Sing star Colman Domingo in Dr Frank-N-Furter-style drag and poked fun at men who give the absolute bare minimum in relationships, with Carpenter sensually cooing about how hot-and-bothered a lack of simple politeness and not doing household tasks, such as washing the dishes, leaves her. “I get wet at the thought of you/Being a responsible guy/treating me like you’re supposed to do/Tears run down my thighs,” she sang. The raunchy lyrics have spawned an equally raunchy TikTok trend, with users innocently mouthing along to the lyrics “Offering to do anything” before the transition cuts to a very suggestive clip of them in the throws of pleasure. A version of the trend, created by TikToker and JoJo Siwa’s ex, Cyrus – no relation to “Flowers” singer Miley – includes a clip of her seemingly performing cunnilingus on an imaginary partner on the other side of the camera, to the delight of lesbians. Cyrus captioned the post “I’m in my hey mamas era” to which followers responded: “When weren’t you in your hey mamas era?” and “We are definitely appreciating your hey mamas era right now.” Someone else wrote: “Babe, I’m not gonna lie: when people ask me what ‘hey mamas’ means, I show them you already.” Others described their enjoyment at the video, writing their “jaw dropped to the floor”, and “definitely not admitting how many times I watched this”, as well as: “Avery, I can’t handle this today.” Share your thoughts!
