Patients on the Isle of Man are facing an average wait of more than a week for an appointment at their GP practice. Health Minister Claire Christian revealed at this week's House of Keys sitting that Manx residents wait on average 7.4 days between booking an appointment and being seen. It's an improvement on this time last year, when the average across all 11 GP practices was 8.4 days. She was asked about the impact this can have on demand at the Emergency Department at Noble's Hospital. Minister Christian confirmed that despite improved access to appointments at GPs, ED performance is unchanged as the four-hour wait remains at 63 percent.
