The visitors, ultimately, defended 167 with ease. The home team had done well to hold India to below 180, and were in control in reply at 1-67, but the wheels soon fell off. Patel claimed the first two wickets of Australia’s innings, and conceded only 20 runs from his four overs. This came after his late-innings 21 off 11 deliveries had given the tourists a decent score to defend.
