The Aussie distance swimmer blew everyone out of the water on Day 3 of the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup meet in Toronto, wiping off more than three seconds off Ledecky’s previous 800m short course record, set in 2022. Her time of 7:54.00 was more than 15 seconds ahead of her nearest challenger, Kiwi Erika Fairweather.
